The Law Office «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners» was established following the rebranding of the legal departments of the NBZ Group in the spring of 2006.
The team of the NBZ Group specialists, who are now the core of the Law Office «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners», has over ten years of experience in the legal services market. The Law Office has a staff of over 70 employees, some of whom have PhD degrees in Laws and Economics. The director of the Law Office, Eduard Olevinsky, has PhD degree in Law and is the author of numerous articles and monographs on bankruptcy law, an arbitrage bankruptcy commissioner of the highest (third) category, a member of the Expert Board for Insolvency and Financial Restructuring at the Russian Ministry for Economic Development.

Since 2008 the Law Office «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners» has been cooperating with the Russian Pro Bono Clearinghouse, founded in 2007 in Moscow by the Public Interest Law Institute (PILI) with the assistance of the American Bar Association (ABA/ROLI). The Law Office became the first Russian Law company, which expressed its readiness to provide Pro Bono services within the Russian Pro Bono Clearinghouse. «Blokadnik» (Victim of siege of Leningrad) non-profit organization, which united citizens who survived the siege of Leningrad during the years of the Great Patriotic War, and the Russian Teachers Support Fund — the organizer of «The teacher of the year» and «The leader of education» All-Russian competitions — became our first paternalized organizations within the Pro Bono program.
Managers and partners of the Law Office are permanent analysts of the leading Russian business mass media — «Kommersant», «Vedomosti» newspapers, «Business FM” radio station, «Expert -TV» and «Zakon-TV» TV-channels. Eduard Olevinsky has its own column in the «Russian business-newspaper».

In 2008 the Law Office «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners» became an official sponsor of the IV Annual International Conference of the Association of European Insolvency lawyers and accountants specializing in corporate recovery and bankruptcy (INSOL Europe), which was held in Saint-Petersburg. The Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors Eduard Olevinsky spoke at this conference with a report «The rights of preferred creditors in Russia», where he described the problems of creditors’ interests protection and suggested the ways of conflict resolution between the demands of creditors.
In February 2010 the Chairman of the Law Office’s «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners» Board of Directors Eduard Olevinsky and the managing partner of the company Aleksander Kolchin presented papers at the «Investigation of financial condition of insolvent debtor — correspondence between obligations, powers and liability of insolvency officers» conference, organized by the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of International Insolvency lawyers (INSOL International).
In June 2010 the Law Office «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners» became a legal partner of the «Judicial debt restructuring. Institute of Bankruptcy of Individuals in Russia» First All-Russian Conference, which was conducted on the eve of the Federal Law’s «On rehabilitation procedures applied to the individual-debtor» commencement. The Chairman of the Law Office’s «Olevinsky, Buyukian and Partners» Board of Directors Eduard Olevinsky presented at the event his report entitled «Bankruptcy of individuals. Will the borrower need additional legal protection after the enforcement of the law?». Eduard Olevinsky noted that a well-established infrastructure of inexpensive and qualified assistance provided to citizens-debtors is necessary for efficient work of the institute of consumer bankruptcy. Mobile residential properties are needed for vacation of housing that is a mortgaged property, as well as availability of arbitration court for the most remote points of Russia. There shall be no obstacles for bankruptcy assets increasing at the debtor’s receipt of shares of companies. The law on bankruptcy of individuals will become a reliable legal protection from unfair borrowers — this is the guarantee of efficiency of the institute of consumer bankruptcy. «Judicial debt restructuring. Institute of Bankruptcy of Individuals in Russia» Conference received a great public feedback and was covered by leading Russian business publications.
